I also have a '95 'California' savage with about the same number of miles and recently installed the supertrapp and did carb mods. I was initially worried that the sound would be too loud, but not so. Just about right. Even with all discs in, it's not near as loud as a friends stock Maurader. but I can now hear it as I'm going down the road.
Before mods, I had a top speed of about 95, which is not bad for a savage, Can't say yet what top speed is now because I'm still tweaking on it. (trying different # of discs, seems to make a big difference in performance and sound). Probably not much higher, but seems to have more 'pull' in lower speeds.
